Chiquis, the three-time Grammy Award winning artist and entrepreneur, recently hosted an exciting event to promote her new show Foodie on the Go. The event brought together fans, food enthusiasts, and media personalities for an inside look at what fans can expect from the upcoming series. This new series, releasing early 2025 on LatiNation Media, will feature Chiquis, traveling the United States to find the most delicious local eateries while on tour - whether it be a neighborhood staple, a 5-star restaurant, a food truck, or a humble street food cart. There she'll take viewers on a journey, not just through the flavors and dishes of various regions, but also through the stories of the people and traditions that shape each meal. The show will join her passions for food and supporting small businesses, while giving restaurant owners the platform to share their stories.

Chiquis spoke openly about how her own upbringing and love for cooking have influenced the show. Sharing that food has the ability to transport you to memories and feelings once experienced. “Every time I eat beans, for example…whether refried or de la hoya, I think of beautiful memories I had at my grandma's house while growing up.” she explained. Chiquis to highlight this ability for food to connect us all, no matter where we're from or what language we speak to each other, ourselves, and our fondest memories.

The promotional event, held at the LatiNation headquarters, featured a sit down interview with Chiquis, hosted by Anakaren Lopez, in which she dove into some of the details centering this new show. This interview was followed by a Q&A with some of her fans and a special performance from the 101 Girls, an all female group of young singers. Guests at the event also had the opportunity to sample some delicious dishes similar to some featured in the series. The food available from the event were all from local vendors around Los Angeles and featured everything from dumplings to tacos.

There was a lot of excitement about the show, with Chiquis expressing her gratitude for the support from her fans and culinary experts. She also hinted that the series would not only highlight traditional food, but also some innovative twists on classic recipes, such as a restaurant featuring FIlipino-Mexican fusion dishes. She warned fans by saying “to all the people that are going to be watching Foodie on the Go, get ready to be hungry.”

Overall, the event served as an energetic preview of what’s to come, leaving attendees eagerly anticipating Foodie on the Go’s debut. In anticipation of the show, she left fans a final message: “be prepared to be inspired by the culture, by the stories, and of course by the food.” With Chiquis' infectious enthusiasm and genuine love for food, it’s clear that the show is set to be a hit among viewers who enjoy exploring new cultures through their cuisines.
